Description

WinPulse Scanner scans for viruses when a user uploads a new attachment to a thread. If the file is harmful, the plugin will print out a scan result (and log it) and will delete the file off the forum.

Logs can be accessed from the Admin panel.

Very nice plugin, I can see this being very useful, particularly on hacking sites, etc.

How does it perform the scan? Does it send the whole file to the WinPulse server? If so, does this add much to the upload time?
When attaching a file on a thread it uploads the file to your forum upload directory. Once uploaded, the plugin connects with the WinPulse API and tells WinPulse to scan the uploaded file which is located in the MyBB upload folder. This plugin only makes use of the WinPulse URL scanner and not the Upload/File scanner which would take more resources.
Oh ok, cool. So if the file does return as being infected does it unapprove the attachment or just lists the file so the admin can review it?
Edit: Oh I see, it deletes the file, is there the option to just unapprove it?
I am afraid not, as far as I know. I am not the developer of this plugin you got to contact Diogo about that.
No, I am very busy at the moment with another plugin and can't update this one right now.
I'm Pirata Nervo by the way

I get /home/jamesmil/public_html/forums/inc/languages/english/admin/winpulsescanner.lang.php does not exist
Do you get that where? In every page? In the admin panel? If in the admin panel, in which page exactly?
Just confirmed that that file comes with the package. Did you upload it to your server?
